I've been in Western Germany with work for the last week with a week to go ... here's my summary.
When it's hot here it's really hot, it was 30C for the first part of the week, then it thundered like I have never seen before and since has been more normal(ish) averaging 23C. That's the weather.
The scenery is fantastic and the towns are rural and beautiful and picturesque - it's a lovely part of the world (I've only been to Germany once before for an engineering review in Cologne (as much fun as it sounded!)). I'll add a picture of Adenau (one of the local villages). That's the place.
We're using the Nurburgring Nordscheife for our work - I've passengered for 4 laps so far (unremitting sensation for the 14 odd mile lap) - more and faster next week hopefully. This weekend there's a race meeting, so we were turfed off at lunchtime today - I'll add a couple of pictures I took at Brunchen corner. That's the activities.
Wish you were here, see you soon. That's the platitude and hollow promise.
Standard postcard procedure.
