Land of the midday sun (part 1)

3am alarm this morning in Coventry has led to a flight from Heathrow at 7am, Stockholm at 10:30, and Kiruna at 1:30 ... just in time to miss the sun! It was dark in Coventry, dark in Heathrow, light but raining in Stockholm and a stunning collection of blues in Kiruna ... by the time we'd been shown round the workshops and checked into the scandic hotel, this was the view from my hotel room at about 2:30:

















A quick walk before dinner and I found the church in Kiruna ... you can just make it out through the trees perhaps, it's a very cool looking wooden building - quite a bit of snow, bt only -10C ...
