Dakota

The roar of twin Pratt&Whitney radial engines, the smell of aviation fuel, the odd draft from an ill fitting side door beside my seat and the Warwickshire countryside from a pleasantly low altitude ... what a perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon. Thanks to Dad and Nims for the flight in a DC3 dakota. A rapidly closing loophole in CAA legislation means that passenger flights in this important, historic aircraft will become effectively impossible from the middle of July - Shame. www.classicflight.com
