Summer 2014 part 4 the far north

We finally made it to the Lakes for the bank holiday weekend and lots of adventures with the northern branch of the Burgess clan. Their blog has some lovely photos.

We paddled from Keswick down a very picturesque Derwent Water

The boys got good at steering themselves

And then wanted a race

Next day we climbed the Bell and Old Man of Coniston

 The views were worth the vertigo!
